How We Handle Your Information

How RankLocall Live Smoke collects, uses, and protects your information. We keep service records for seven years and never sell your data.

Information We Collect

When you call or submit a request through our website, we collect basic contact details. That means your name, property address, phone number, and email if you provide one. We also note what you need: a sweep, inspection, relining, or masonry repair. If permits are involved, we keep a record of those filings and approvals. Payment information is processed through secure third-party services; we don't store full card numbers.

Service records include visit dates, findings from CSIA certified inspections, photographs of chimney conditions, and any invoices. These records help us track maintenance intervals and comply with NFPA 211 standards. If you sign up for seasonal reminders, we store that preference along with your contact details.

How We Use Your Information

We use your contact details to confirm appointments, send invoices, and follow up on completed work. Service history lets us remind you when your next inspection is due or when mortar work becomes feasible again after winter. If you ask for a quote on a crown rebuild or liner installation, we use your address to check local permit requirements and typical turnaround times

we don't send marketing emails unless you opt in, and you can unsubscribe anytime. We never sell your information to lead brokers, referral networks, or advertisers.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share your information only when necessary to complete your job. That includes municipal building departments when we pull permits, suppliers who deliver materials to your property, and payment processors who handle transactions; if you file an insurance claim for chimney damage, we'll provide inspection reports and invoices at your request.

We will disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid government request. Otherwise, your data stays with us.

Data Security

We store customer records on password-protected systems with encrypted backups. Digital files are accessible only to staff who need them to schedule or complete work. Paper records, including signed contracts and permit copies, are kept in locked cabinets. We retain service records for seven years to support warranty claims and maintain continuity if you return for additional work.

Your Rights

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you at any time. If details are incorrect, we'll update them promptly. If you want your records deleted after the retention period expires, let us know and we'll handle it. You can also ask us to stop sending service reminders or other communications.

Cookies and Website Tracking

Our website uses basic cookies to remember form entries and track which pages visitors view. We don't use third-party tracking pixels or sell browsing data. Analytics help us understand which services generate the most inquiries, but we don't link that data to individual identities.

Changes to This Policy

We review this policy annually and update it if our practices change. The revision date appears at the bottom. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
